The Children's Table
The Children’s Table, based in Bronson, Florida, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 by Verna and Bill Brown. Dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting those in need, it has grown from the Browns sharing homegrown produce to serving over 85,000 people annually. The organization provides food distributions, gardening education, and disaster relief. With the vision of its founders and the support of volunteers and staff, The Children’s Table uplifts and empowers families by ensuring access to nourishing food and promoting self-sustainability. We Soar
We Soar is a nonprofit organization in the local Williston Community. It is run by President MiMi Johnson, and Ms. Rose Williams and serves to provide arts, education, and mentoring to youth and families in Levy County, FL and surrounding North Central Florida area.
Ms. Williams assists in coordination of the Back to School Program which Sister’s Place is proud to support. Through donations, We Soar was able to lighten the load for some families by providing over 700 students with backpacks filled with essential school supplies, snacks, and other items as they prepared for a new school year.
